Carpet Racking

Carpet Racking is achieved by using heavy duty longspan or pallet racking structures in either a 2 or 3 bay deep configuration to suit the length of the carpet rolls. Chipboard decks are then installed running from front to back, spanning the racking beams to support the carpet - this can easily be covered with vinyl or linoleum to protect the carpet if required.

This carpet storage installation shows how longspan racking can be used to create storage sections suitable for small diameter carpet rolls of 2, 3 and 4 metres in length, for larger rolls we would recommend a pallet racking system to cope with the extra weight involved and to allow the carpets to be stored using a forklift truck.
