Archive Box Storage
Archive boxes are normally stored 2 high, which allows dense storage and good access for retrieval.
Our shelving system is designed to accommodate the standard archive boxes used for off-site storage and the ‘perfect' fit enables the maximum number of boxes to be stored in a given space.
Archive boxes can weigh around 20Kg when full and this would equate to 250Kg per shelf, which is accommodated by our channel section beams.
The solution shown is the upper level of a three-tier shelving system providing maximum capacity to the roof line of the building.

Trimline storage shelving with slim shelf beams combined with 25mm height adjustment allowed the customer to gain an extra storage level providing an 8% increase in capacity.

File storage is often associated with high density storage and this application uses mobile shelving to maximise the available floor space whilst providing easy access.
The double depth shelving provides an economical solution as the same shelf is used for the file wallets on both sides of the shelving unit.
The open ends provide a light and airy environment and 'bookends' are used to retain the document wallets shown below, doubling up as label holders.
File wallets are normally foolscap size and measure 345mm x 245mm. The optimum bay size would be 2140mm high with 7 shelf levels and 1 bay of shelving will fit the contents of 2½ four drawer filing cabinets.

Lever Arch Storage
Lever Arch files are common place in any office and the two popular sizes are A4 and Foolscap.
The height difference seen below requires the shelves to be positioned accordingly to save wasted space and as a rule of thumb a standard bay will accomodate 5 levels of foolscap files or 6 levels of A4 files.
If large volumes of lever arch files are required then a more efficient solution is to use the 'landscape' lever arch folder shown in blue that can result in a 30% increase in storage capacity.
