A well designed stockroom reduces stock damage and 'over stocking' that's a common problem when merchandise can not be readily identified.
 
Hanging or Folded or Both?
 
This will depend on the type of clothing, the way garments are merchandised and the way that the stock arrives through distribution.
 
This is personal to each retailer and their operation, and a typical split would be 60% hanging / 40% shelving.
 
There are two means of storing hanging garments, inboard and outboard.
