Our range of safety steps and step ladders are marked according to British Standards. British and European ladder certification standards apply to all step ladders supplied in the UK and it's important that the right type of step ladder is used for a specific application.

There are 3 classifcations for stepladder safety based on the safe working 'vertical' load...

• BS 2037 Class 1 - Heavy Industrial Use: Duty rating 130kg / Max load 175kg
• EN 131 (Class 2) - Commercial Light Trade: Duty rating 115kg / Max load 150kg
• BS 2037 Class 3 - Domestic Use: Duty rating 95kg / Max load 125kg
